Photo Album: A Full CleanSpace Installation

We recently took on a project for a homeowner in the Catlett, VA area to encapsulate a crawl space with a dirt floor and structural damage. The homeowner wanted to make sure that moving forward, he would not have to worry about leaks, mold, or more damage. To start, we installed our SmartPipe crawl space drainage system to prevent water pooling and flooding in the future. Then, we got to work installing our CleanSpace encapsulation system! The first step was to lay down CleanSpace drainage matting over top of the dirt floor. The dimpled matting helps with water drainage and adds durability against dirt floors that may have bumps, divets, or rocks. It also helps with insulation and adds a comfortable "cushioning" to the floor of the crawl space. Then, our 20 mil. thick CleanSpace liner was placed overtop of the drainage matting and sealed from wall to wall. The liner is vapor-proof and warranted by us against rips and tears. This also brightens the crawl space! To fully complete the encapsulation, we installed closed cell spray foam insulation on the walls and rim joists and an EverLast door to seal the crawl space from the outside.
