Photo Album: Incomplete Stafford Crawl Space

This crawl space in Stafford Va was partially encapsulated with some ground cover and insulation done in parts of the structure.  Not completely finishing the work left open spaces of soil, opportunities for moisture to add up, build-up of bugs, and the ability for some type of animal visitor to leave its paw prints on the floor covering.  In addition to the incomplete ground covering and insulation, there was nothing used to seal up the floors or help keep musty crawl space air from making its way into the rooms above.  That means that dirty air from the crawl space filled with bugs and dirt was working up into the living space above.  we offer lots of solutions to help in a situation like this.  Zyp foam can be used to seal up the air cracks and then the flooring can be spray foam.  This would solve the dirty air problem and help to keep the living space more conditioned inside the home.  Fully encapsulating the crawl space would help to control the moisture and help to keep out some of the unwanted visitors like bugs and animals.
