Photo Album: Lovettsville Crawl Space Transformation with Spray Foam Insulation

This Lovettsville home from the early 1900's had a stone foundation and crawl space that was dark, humid, musty and cold. The homeowner called us to help find a way to make the home more comfortable and make the hard wood floors less reactive to outside temperatures. Our Home Performance Sales pro Eric visited and did a whole home inspection to discover what services and products would be best for the job. Eric recommended Clean Space to cover the crawl space floors and keep the moisture contained, high pressure spray foam insulation for the walls and rim joists and a Sedona dehumidifier to draw any additional humidity and moisture from the air. This will now make the crawl space a dry and controlled environment with no influence from outside weather and temperatures. The air quality in the living spaces above will now be better and the hardwood floors will not be cold.

Moisture Containment Covering

This material covers the dirt floors at the bottom of the Clean Space layers. It will allow air to move along the dirt floors but will also keep that moist air from entering into the rest of the air that can move into the home above.
