Basement Waterproofing Photo Album: Wet Alexandria VA Basement - WaterGuard Installation

This Alexandria VA home had water issues in the basement.  The basement walls had cracks in them due to age and were allowing water into the home.  After having used our company for a previous home project need, the homeowners called us to see if we could help.  Our Home Performance Sales expert visited and was able to identify a solution that would help.  Our Production Team went on site and started by repairing the walls with Carbon Armor.  This product seals up the wall cracks and helps to strengthen damaged areas to greatly reduce the likelihood of increased damage over time.  Even with the Carbon Armor in place, the walls were still going to have some water and moisture come through due to the basement being subterranean.  In order to manage the water coming in, we jack hammered the concrete floors at the base of the walls and installed out WaterGuard system to collect and direct the water to a sump pump for discharge out of the home.  The WaterGuard system was sealed in with a fresh layer of concrete above it and then CleanSpace was installed on the basement walls.  This provides a clean look and functions as a barrier keeping the water from leading to humidity in the basement.  This will all help make the basement look better and will improve the air quality in the home with reduced moisture.
