This historic home in Lovettsville VA was having humidity issues inside. The homeowner called to see what options we could offer to help. Our Home Performance Sales Pro Eric visited and did an inspection to see what was causing the comfort issues and narrowed it down to the crawl space. The crawl space was unconditioned and had open access for external air to come in which lead to excessive humidity that was impacting the air quality in the home above. After clearing out much of the crawl space and working to make the dirt floors more clear, our production crew installed layers of material to insulate the floors, then applied spray foam to the walls and rim joists before installing a Sedona Dehumidifier Crawl Space air conditioner. A clean, conditioned space with less humidity in the air was the result. It will make the homeowner more comfortable and help to reduce their energy costs.
