Crawl Space Repair Photo Album: Falls Church VA Crawl Space Encapsulation

This home in Falls Church VA had cold floors, a wet crawl space and an opportunity to improve the air quality in the home. The homeowner called us to see if we could help improve it all. The crawl space had some steps leading down to the ground level and then a raised section with exposed foundation and insufficient insulation hanging from the ceiling of the space. Our Home Performance sales Pro Carl identified a need for surface covering and insulation that would keep the moisture in the ground contained as well as a need to insulate the walls of the crawl space and seal the rim joists with spray foam. He was also able to recommend a new entryway door for the crawl space that would create a better seal and keep air, allergens and pests out. This all helped to control the air and temperatures in the crawl space as well as improve the energy performance of the home.

Silver Glo panel insulation was installed on the walls and the surface of the crawl space was covered with the first of 3 layers of material that would eventually seal up the space.

Our Clean Space floor covering is sealed at its edges with Zyp Foam, locking in any moisture below.

Crawl Space Encapsulation

Walls insulated with Silver Glo panel insulation and Clean Space covering the floors. This space will now be dry, temperature stable and clean.
