Crawl Space Repair Photo Album: Woodbridge VA Crawl Space Upgrade

This Woodbridge VA crawl space had unlocked potential. The existing insulation inside of this low crawl space had fallen loose from above and was sitting in piles on the sheets of plastic covering the dirt floors. Vents for the crawl space were allowing uncontrolled air flow in and out of the area which was leading to the homeowners experiencing cold floors in the winter and warmer than preferred temperatures during the summer. Our Home Performance Sales Pro Jon was able to design a project that would help address and make it all better. Our production crew started by removing the existing insulation and plastic sheeting to bring the dirt floors back to fill exposure. The walls of the crawl space were insulated with Silver Glo panels and air sealed with Zyp Foam to eliminate external air from moving in. Spray foam was used to seal up the rim joists of the crawl space and then Clean Space was installed across the crawl space floors and base of the foundation walls. This would insulate the crawl space from the outside in, keeping the air inside controlled and reducing the moisture allowed to enter. The newly conditioned space is now useable for storage and will help to keep the floors above from changing with the seasons and temperatures.
