This home in Newington, VA was having issues with humidity, water damage, and comfort due to their dirt crawl space. We gave their crawl space the full CleanSpace treatment and the results are a new, beautiful space!
A homeowner named Tom gave us a call to inspect his crawl space. He knew he needed to make some improvements after another company attempted to do some work but they did it incorrectly. The biggest issue our Sales Representative found in the crawl space was mold. The insulation that hung from the crawl space ceiling was damaged and quite moldy. The 3 Pros team removed and properly disposed of the bad insulation and then treated then encapsulated the crawl space. We installed our CleanSpace Encapsulation System which includes drainage matting, terra block, and a 20 mil thick CleanSpace vapor barrier. Then, 2" thick SilverGlo insulation was installed on the crawl space walls and the rim joists were sealed with polyurethane spray foam. Now Tom is happy with a job well done!
To make this home feel more comfortable and make the floors in the kitchen warmer in the winter, we installed our CleanSpace Encapsulation System. The existing insulation was damaged, moldy, and no longer effective. After removing it, we encapsulated the crawl space with TerraBlock, CleanSpace, and SilverGlo Wall insulation. The rim joists were sealed with 2 inches of spray foam.
Homeowners in Arlington, VA had a crawlspace that had old, moldy, non-effective insulation in it. The team at 3 Pros Basement Systems transformed the crawlspace using our CleanSpace encapsulation system. This system keeps the crawlspace healthy, warm, dry, and critter free.
One of the most important steps in any crawl space projects, is the last step. That step is closing the door or access point to the crawl space to keep it sealed off and safe from outdoor air and temperatures. Closing off vents and covering the walls of a crawl space is almost useless if the door or access point to the crawl space isnt properly sealed and continues to allow dust, allergens and moisture to come inside. We offer this great Everlast Door as a solution. Here we replaced an old, dry rotting wooden door that has clear signs of many tears of weather exposure, for an Everlast Door made from long lasting materials that will not rust, rot or decay. With multiple latching points, the Everlast Door helps create the tightest seal possible.
