Homeowners in Lovettsville, VA saw the state of their crawl space and knew they needed to give us a call right away. The existing insulation was hanging down, there was water infiltration, and there were signs of pests. The 3 Pros professionals started by removing the old, yucky insulation and then installed a combination of SmartSump, SmartPipe, and drainage matting. Next, we installed our CleanSpace Encapsulation System. Our CleanSpace system reduces moisture and humidity below the home, improves indoor air quality, and significantly reduces heat loss through the floor and wall when combined with insulation.
This basement/crawl space door was old and the wood was rotting in some spots. The homeowners were looking to make their home more comfortable and part of that process was creating a better air seal for the lower areas of the home. This new door was insulated and air sealed and will lock in a way that helps eliminate any air flow in and around the edges and frame. This can help to keep external air and temperatures from impacting the air inside of the home and can keep rodents or other critters from entering.
This crawl space was in poor condition. The insulation was wet and moldy and the crawl space needed to be waterproofed and fitted with a drainage system to prevent it from happening again. We removed the nasty insulation, installed a WaterGuard, and completed the makeover with CleanSpace lining and spray foam insulation.
This crawl space was emanating mildew odors and upon inspection, it was revealed that the insulation was in bad shape and moldy.
A homeowner in Gainesville, VA had a broken basement window. Until recently, the standards for basement windows haven’t been very high. Builders paid attention to windows in the main part of the house, but typically chose cheap steel or wood-framed windows for the basement. As a result, standard basement windows have some significant problems.
The 3 Pros team quickly replaced this window with an EverLast Window Insert. The EverLast Window Insert features double-pane, insulated glass, so you won't need to worry about major heat loss. Our installation crew will use the right techniques to eliminate air leaks through gaps around the window.
